Walking 80 km without training is not recommended. We advise you to have walked at least double the distance of the march before you start the Kennedy-Mars Sittard. A possible training schedule:

  • Start with a one-hour walk.
  • After that, walk for two hours a few times.
  • Then follow approximately this progression: 20 km – 30 km – 35 km – 40 km.
  • As a dress rehearsal, walk 50 km. If you manage this, the 80 km will likely no longer be a problem.

And just as importantly: make sure to get enough rest between your training walks!
